History

Michael Harth founded Sunset Parking Service in 1981 to provide valet parking services for three local San Diego restaurants. Since then, Sunset has grown into a full-service parking management company with over 100 locations and 350 employees in San Diego, Orange County, Los Angeles and Palm Springs. While the roots of our company are based in valet parking and a reputation for superior customer service, we are gaining momentum as a full service parking management firm as our valet parking, commercial garage and surface parking lot management businesses grow. Partner Steve Webb joined the company in 1993 and has steadily added surface parking and garage locations to our portfolio. As our company grows at a steady 15%-20% rate each year, we have maintained our commitment to “smart growth.” By promoting experienced managers from within, creating innovative training methods, and keeping an atmosphere of family and camaraderie, we work to maintain the small-company, hands-on feel that has brought us our success.
